Circumstances:
While cruising over the Pyrénées Mountains in poor weather conditions (snow falls), the aircraft hit the Cinq Croix peak located near the village of Corsavy, some 30 km southwest of Perpignan. At an altitude of some 2,100 meters, the three engine aircraft hit the mountain and exploded before coming to rest in the Ravin de la Prison, near the Las Indis mines. The aircraft was totally destroyed and all eight occupants were killed.
